The Mountaintop Experience

From Dream to Reality

Utah Overlooking Salt Lake

On Friday I challenged readers to DREAM.  So when you get to the mountaintop experience of realizing your dream, please come back here and write about your experience of dreaming big! Give us every detail of  the obstacles you overcame; the sweat equity efforts it entailed, and all that the dream provided you and all involved.

For some of you the mountaintop will not include any physical climbing, but a good deal of sweat on bended knees. Perhaps your mountaintop is the ability to forgive someone who did the unthinkable or to find employment in a soft economy or to hear God’s still soft voice for the first time (or the first time in a long time).  Whatever your dream, whatever your mountain, may the Lord be with you in all that you do.

And my prayer for you:  When you are on your way to that mountaintop may you meet God face to face, as Moses did, and may you come back radiating the glory of God to others for the remaining days of your life on this precious planet earth. May you be filled and empowered by His Spirit and leading and lean not upon your own understanding.  In all of your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your path straight.

For further study of Moses’ mountaintop experience read: Exodus 24 and 34:29-35.

When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the covenant law in his hands, he was not aware that his face was radiant because he had spoken with the Lord. Exodus 34:29 NIV

“For those who look to Him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.” Psalm 34:5 NIV
