Wise-up Wednesday: Toe Wiggles Rev Immunity

First magazine reports that according to Stanford University scientists:

Moving your toes or drumming your fingers on a table for one minute can soothe anxiety, plus make your disease-fighting white blood cells up to 25 percent more aggressive.

The fine motor control and the resulting nerve stimulation involved in these actions signals the brain to dial down the production of immunity-weakening stress hormones.

May I suggest that we perform these toe wiggles and finger taps in a discrete manner that does not increase the stress level of those around us. 🙂
