Blog Purpose

I have a passion for the brain!  My desire is to learn and share as much as I can about:

  • How we learn
  • Why we act the way we do
  • How to make positive change in our thinking and behavior

I realize you have little time and LOTS of material to read, thus a choice to make.  I present you with 2 postings weekly with the following themes:

Wednesdays – quick brain related facts to help you make improvements to mind/body/spirit.  These posts will be Wise-up Wednesday Brain Bytes.

Fridays – will have more spiritual depth and frequently be focused on relationships.  I believe a big part of our quality of life stems from the health of our relationships: first with God and then with people.  Perhaps that is why Jesus said the greatest commandments are to love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind;  and next to love your neighbor as yourself. This is consistent with my desire to help you grow in mind/body/spirit.

The Author

Hi, I am Kim Cordes.  Since 1995, I have been teaching others how to improve relational and whole brain skills.  I was a corporate trainer with a multinational technology firm.  I transitioned from business planning and marketing, because of the personal impact The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey and The Mind Map Book by Tony Buzan had on my life. I was compelled to share these concepts with others, so I pursued certification in both Covey’s and Buzan’s work.

I have been transformed by yet another great book: The Holy Bible. There are endless complements in the Bible about teaching others to be the best they can be using their enormous God-given capability. Neuroscience is now catching up to prove that the principles in the Bible are truly beneficial for our overall thinking, doing, being. Interested parties should check out Dr. Caroline Leaf’s book, Who Switched off My Brain, for some of the latest scientific research.

Thus, Radiant Learning…….learning to live the life that God has called us to:  A life of Radiance.

Kim Cordes, Learning Facilitator

Those who look to Him are radianttheir faces are never covered in shame.
